1st. Lt. Ragland, upper left, reached his place in the 1952 POW Olympics by bailing out of a perfectly good fighter when he saw a few cannon rounds go past his ears.

The men in all these photographs certainly seem well fed and in fine physical condition.

By participating willingly in activities which encouraged the North Korean intransigence at the Truce Talks, these men contributed materially to the savage fighting and heavy loss of UN life which ensued. If they were as happy as they seem, it would be hard to argue they were not obviously self-serving collaborators.
