Not my luckiest patrol, May '53
Loading jeep with our gear from the rear company

We walked our gear and the boss got a lift most of the way in a jeep. The gear getting a lift conserved our energy for the business at hand later. The boss getting a lift conserved his energy so he could hopefully think straight when needed.

Note the lad at rear right of group, he is obviously having a last nervous piddle against the bank. Always a good idea as taking a leak on patrol wasn't the smartest thing to do, unless you did it quietly in your pants. (which many new boys did.)
