Sgt. Phil Hobson taking a front-line photo. Phil was with the battalion from the beginning, and took some mighty photos. Alas much of his collection came to grief whilst in storage years after. The bloke being photographed, wearing a flak jacket and with a Bren at his feet, may have just returned from patrol. I cannot say for certain, but it does look as though the bloke is bleeding, he doesn't look overly impressed. The fellow tending him plus the other looking on seem concerned, and I can't imagine what else there was that could be of interest to Hobson. |
