Here we are, the Pomms and I all tarted-up with new uniforms and clean
boots no less (though I suspect the Brits had clean ones all the time). By
jove that must be a loaned hat as well, by this time in 53 mine was a
sorry sight. Certainly not fit to be seen in the rear areas.
Lurking in
those tents were many fearful KATCOMs, unsure of what the dreaded 'foreign
devils' had in store for them. Eventually one attached to 6 platoon was
found to be a Northern spy, his end was swift, delivered by a bullet to the
back of the head by the revolver of a Korean Lieutenant from BHQ.
